HVS and Pap Smear

HVS is a technique used to obtain a sample of discharge or secrition from the high vagina. This is then sent for culture and sensitivity.

High vaginal swabs can be useful for the investigation of bacterial vaginosis and can confirm vaginal candidiasis.

Pap Smear, It is a technique for taking a sample from the cervix for early diagnosis of cervical cancer.
